Costa di Bussia Barolo Riserva is made from 100% estate grown Nebbiolo grapes, aged for at least 3 years in oak casks, then a further 2 years in bottle before release. The result of this careful ageing is a Barolo Riserva of real class, full of spicy, gamey flavours, a firm, grippy mouth-feel, and an extremely long, complex finish.
Since 1988, the Costa di Bussia winery and vineyards have been owned and managed by the Sartirano family. The estate is located in the Bussia area of Piemonte, near the village of Monforte d'Alba, and is surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of vineyards. The 15 hectare estate dates back to 1874.
