More info

This wine comes from fifty hectares of sandy soils, which enjoy mild year round temperatures due to the proximity of the Mediterranean and a great deal of sunshine. Grapes are picked at night when they are still cool to enable the extraction of the primary aromas.

After a two hour maceration on skins, the grapes were pressed and fermented at cool temperatures in concrete vats.

Château de Pampelonne

In the nineteenth century under the Napoleonic regime at the time of the Italian campaign, Jean-Antoine Falcon, one of the ancestors of the Gasquet family worked as treasurer for the government. Appointed to Saint-Tropez, he married Marie-Madeleine Cauvin, heiress of an old local family who brought him land in Pampelonne as a dowry, where he had a “villa” built. During the Second Empire, his eldest son Adrien had the Château de Pampelonne converted to its current state. When he died in 1869, he bequeathed the estate to his wife Amance de Gasquet.

Château de Pampelonne is located a short distance from the famous beach of the same name, in the town of Ramatuelle. It has been run by the 8th generation of the Gasquet-Pascaud family, Marie Pascaud since 2014.
