Château de Stony has been in the Nodet family for five generations, and is now run by brothers Frédéric and Henri. The château was built at the turn of the twentieth century, when it was fashionable to mix English words into French phrases. The name of the property is thus a direct reference to its stony soil!
The Nodets tend seventeen hectares in this coastal appellation overlooking the Étang de Thau and the Mediterranean.
The must began fermentation and was then fortified up to fifteen percent alcohol part-way through, stopping the fermentation and retaining natural sugar from the grapes.
