Château Rivière Minervois Réserve 2019
Confit black and red fruits dominate the palate, giving way to spicy and herbal notes at the finish. It is deliciously full- bodied on the palate, combining elegance with power.
Located north-east of Carcassonne, the 16th-century Château Rivière is situated on pebble strewn limestone-clay terraces in the heart of the Minervois appellation. Here its vines flourish amid a landscape of pines, rosemary and juniper bushes to produce a full-bodied wine, both elegant and fresh.
The grapes were picked at night from fifty-year-old vines planted on south-facing clay-limestone slopes.
The grapes were pressed and then fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with daily pumpovers, with a four-week maceration in total.
