Chevanceau Rouge is a full-bodied red French country wine from the Herault area in the Languedoc. It is an unoaked blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes. With spicy bramble aromas and a well-structured palate, this wine is a great partner for barbecues or roasts.
'Indication géographique protégée' is the modern equivalent term to 'vin de pays'. Like its predecessor, which is still a legally valid term, IGP status is designed to recognise and encourage the production of wines that are distinctly superior to vin de table, but still fall outside appellation regulations.
