The Joblot family has been producing fine wines for four generations. They own 13 hectares of vineyards in three Premier Cru areas in Givry and lay great emphasis on vineyard management with small yields. Their total production is 6,000 cases per annum and their wines are exported to the USA, Canada, Europe as well as Japan. The wines are vinified in new barriques resulting in powerful but elegant wines of top class quality. These sought after wines have limited availability.
Givry is a village situated west of Chalon-sur-Saone, and in the heart of the Cote Chalonnaise. Givry, famous as the preferred wine of King Henri IV, produces mostly red wine. These reds have more structure and ability to age than those of neighbouring Rully. The village is gaining a reputation as a hotbed of winemaking talent, and Joblot is at the forefront of this dynamic appellation.
