This deeply coloured Nero d'Avola shows lush notes of blackcurrant, wild strawberry and crunchy pomegranate. The palate is soft, round and velvety.
This wine is produced from selected Nero d'Avola vineyards, planted on clay soils in Sambuca di Sicilia, in the province of Agrigento. The vines are espalier trained, with an average density of 4500 plants per hectare.
Following de-stemming, fermentation took place over six to eight days at 22-24ºC. The wine was aged for six months in French oak barriques.
Feudo Arancio comprises two estates, with red varieties planted at Sambuca di Sicilia in the west of the island, and whites in Acate near the south coast. The range is united both by its beautiful Moorish-influenced labels, and also the quality credentials of the owner, Gruppo Mezzacorona.
