This special cuvée releases exotic scents of ripe pineapple mixed with fragrances of freshly picked quince. On the palate, smoothness and tension are in perfect balance.
Viré and Clessé are two communes in southern Bourgogne lying between Tournus and Mâcon. Because the wines of the two villages closely resemble each other in typicity, it was decided to form them into a single appellation. The appellation VIRÉ-CLESSÉ achieved recognition in 1998 and was launched a year later.
A rigorous selection is made during the harvest. Temperatures are constantly controlled during the fermentation process. Wines are matured in steel vats on fine lees.
Maison Georges Dubœuf is a family business - founded in 1964 by Georges Dubœuf - that reveals the talent of the wine growers and sublimates the great terroirs of the Beaujolais and Maconnais regions. More than 300 winemakers trust them to create wines from all the crus, from all the AOCs of the Beaujolais and Maconnais regions, and from the Beaujolais Nouveaux – whose great celebrations in France and abroad have built their reputation. Today, they produce 12 million bottles per year, 75% of which is exported.
