Les Gauvries de Romanet is a vibrant pale yellow colour with a bouquet of white peaches and undertones of citrus fruits, creating a crisp and intense flavour followed by a perfect rounded finish. In its stunning blue bottle, les Gauvries will grace the finest of tables or make the perfect gift for the discerning wine lover.
Located within the Bordeaux appellation, the 95 hectare vineyard has only 5 hectares producing white wine in the area of St Quentin de Caplong. This district is famous for its rich terroir located on the banks of the Dordogne River.
White Bordeaux wine is complex and age worthy. When young, there are pronounced sensations of flowers, citrus, vanilla, lemon, crushed rocks, grapefruit and lime, but as it ages, the colour deepens and the wine takes on additional characteristics of freshly cut lawn grass, honey, minerality, spice and butterscotch.
