An inviting deep ruby-red in colour, this wine is packed full of ripe blackberry and plum aromas with delicate hints of spice and crushed black pepper. The palate is succulent, soft and fruity.
The grapes were harvested in the second half of March from various vineyards in the Valle Central, where alluvial soils predominate. Careful canopy management ensures that optimum sunlight reaches the fruit zone.
The grapes were crushed then macerated for two days at 10ºC before fermentation at 26-28ºC. There was a three-day post-ferment maceration, as well as subtle use of French oak.
