This deep ruby red has ripe cherries and sweet spices on the nose, a rich and intense palate with cherries and berry fruit, good length and soft tannins.
The first Campofiorin harvest happened in gentle, Veronese hillside vineyards and has become part of Valpolicella’s history, and one of the best-loved classics of the Italian wine tradition in the world.
This is the original Supervenetian created by Masi in 1964 and internationally recognised as a wine of “stupendous body and complexity”, the prototype for a new category of wines from the Veneto inspired by the Amarone production method.

Though run by the Boscaini family for six generations, it is really in the last fifty years that Masi has established itself as one of the Veneto’s most innovative wine producers. In the late 1950s, they identified certain historic vineyard plots which are vinified as Amarone and bottled separately to this day. In 1964, they launched the now-legendary Campofiorin, which revived the technique of a second fermentation with semi-dried grapes. Masi have also rescued the ancient Oseleta variety from extinction, and continue to use it in two of their celebrated “Supervenetian” wines.
