New product
Pale yellow with straw highlights and continuous copious bubbles. On the nose soft and well-defined with clear hints of green apples, plums, pears and apricots, which alternate with floral notes of jasmine, acacia and wisteria. On the palate it is subtle and harmonious, with the fresh fruit pulp component still dominant culminating in a well-balanced, intense lingering finish.
A well-balanced wine, created in the traditional way uniting the different terroirs of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills: Ogliano, featuring the complexity and aromatic intensity of fruit, Solighetto with its floral hints, and Rolle for pronounced acidity. Vines are Guyot trained and vineyards tended sustainably according to the standards of National Quality System of Integrated Production (SQNPI).
The selected hand picked grapes are vinified by gravity method and fermented off the skins at a controlled temperature of 15-18°C. The prise de mousse and lees maturation normally take place for approximately 90 days in pressure tanks, on selected yeasts, at a temperature of 13-14°C. The wine is aged for at least one month before distribution.

The story of Masottina can be traced back to the 5 hectares of vineyards acquired in 1946 by Epifanio Dal Bianco. When the manor house overlooking the vineyard was restored, an ancient inscription came to light: Casa Masottina. Hence the name of the historic brand owned by the Dal Bianco family for three generations. Today Masottina wines are the product of almost 300 hectares which extend across the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Hills and the Veneto region. A vine planted area built up over time, consisting of carefully chosen vines cultivated by the family in keeping with the sustainable rules of SQNPI. It is however in the hills of Ogliano that Masottina’s production and quality philosophy is expressed at its best, through the ‘Cru’ wines grown in this unique terroir: R.D.O. Ponente and R.D.O. Levante, which thanks to Wine Spectator have placed the Rive di Ogliano for the first time in the magazine’s TOP 100 most important wines in the world.
