Floral and fruit-driven with ripe yellow peaches and citrus fruits. An attractive saltiness complements the crisp palate.
Greco and Fiano grapes are carefully sourced from vineyards in Guardia Sanframondi, Castelvenere, San Lorenzo Maggiore (Benevento). Here vines are trained on double guyot system, with planting densities of between 2400 to 3000 vines per hectare.
Both varieties underwent a cryomaceration process, after which the varieties wee vinified separately. After blending, the wine was aged on the fine lees for seven to eight months with weekly batonnage.

In the words of Jamie Goode, "Campanian superstar wine Montevetrano burst onto the scene in 1995 and achieved cult status almost overnight."
Starting with just four hectares, photographer Silvia Imperato teamed up with renowned winemaker Riccardo Cotarella and after just a few vintages, Montevetrano was dubbed "the Sassicaia of the South" by Robert Parker. Since then, the vineyard has grown and the blend evolved to include Cabernet, Merlot and Aglianico – a true “supercampanian”, and a compelling mixture of spice and flesh. Local varieties from neighbouring vineyards go into the two Core wines (pronounced COR)eh, meaning heart) - Fiano and Greco for the white, and Aglianico for the red. Both are sumptuous examples, and very well priced for the quality.
