Aromas of little red fruits – cherry, raspberry – with floral notes and a little saline tang lead to an elegant, harmonious palate. Delicate in flavour, yet with good structure and persistence, this is a charming Sardinian take on the fashionable pale-pink style.
Grapes for Chiaro di Stelle come from the vineyards of Benatzu Coloru in Sardiana. The vineyards are at 150-180 metres above sea level, and feature both pebbly limestone/clay soil and sandy slopes.
After twelve hours of maceration, the must was settled left to ferment in stainless steel vats for two weeks at 16ºC. After a light clarification, the wine is allowed to rest for a few more months in the vats before bottling.

Sardinia’s mixture of grapes matches its location: as well as sharing the Vermentino with Corsica, Provence and western Italy, it has also received considerable input from Spain, in the form of Cannonau (Grenache), Bovale (Mourvèdre) and Carignano. Pala capture this diversity, offering wines of modern purity with genuine Sardinian style. Salvatore Pala established the estate in 1950, and it is now run by third-generation Mario Pala.
