An elegant expression of this Sardinian native, combining white flowers, honey and citrus fruit flavours with a bright acidity. An extra degree of complexity comes from the savoury and herbal notes on the finish.
The Nuragus grapes come from forty-five year old vines in the "Acquasassa" and "Is Crabilis" vineyards, planted on calcareous clay soils of medium elevation. The vines are trained to low espalier and traditional alberello.
Following a gentle pressing the must was fermented in stainless steel vats at a constant temperature of 15°C. Once fermentation was complete, the wine remained in stainless steel for several months before bottling.

Sardinia’s mixture of grapes matches its location: as well as sharing the Vermentino with Corsica, Provence and western Italy, it has also received considerable input from Spain, in the form of Cannonau (Grenache), Bovale (Mourvèdre) and Carignano. Pala capture this diversity, offering wines of modern purity with genuine Sardinian style. Salvatore Pala established the estate in 1950, and it is now run by third-generation Mario Pala.
