A fresh young wine with good intensity, showing crisp, clean notes of apple, pear, citrus and herbs.
Grapes for Silenzi are sourced from the youngest vineyards of the Pala Estate, up to twenty years old. The vineyards are at 150-180 metres above sea level, and have limestone/clay soil that is rich in texture.
The must obtained from gentle pressing of the grapes was left to ferment in stainless steel vats at a constant temperature of 15ºC. After a light clarification, the wine is allowed to rest for a few more months in the vats before bottling.

Sardinia’s mixture of grapes matches its location: as well as sharing the Vermentino with Corsica, Provence and western Italy, it has also received considerable input from Spain, in the form of Cannonau (Grenache), Bovale (Mourvèdre) and Carignano. Pala capture this diversity, offering wines of modern purity with genuine Sardinian style. Salvatore Pala established the estate in 1950, and it is now run by third-generation Mario Pala.
