Intense, persistent aromas dominated by red fruit notes. Well-structured with a soft, plummy palate.
Grapes for Silenzi are sourced from the youngest vineyards of the Pala Estate, average age is twenty years old. The vineyards are at 150-180 metres above sea level, and have limestone-clay soil that is rich in texture.
Maceration and fermentation took place at controlled temperatures with the addition of selected yeasts. After a gentle clarification, the must was moved to stainless steel vats to settle, and then bottled unoaked.

Sardinia’s mixture of grapes matches its location: as well as sharing the Vermentino with Corsica, Provence and western Italy, it has also received considerable input from Spain, in the form of Cannonau (Grenache), Bovale (Mourvèdre) and Carignano. Pala capture this diversity, offering wines of modern purity with genuine Sardinian style. Salvatore Pala established the estate in 1950, and it is now run by third-generation Mario Pala.
