Superbly rich and fruity this wine is truly a big ‘Aussie Red’. Heavy blackcurrant fruit and hints of chocolate are followed by a rich and soft finish on the palate.
A group of owls is known as a ‘Parliament of Owls’ and the inspiration behind its name was the pair of Australian Masked Owls that used to frequent the wine maker’s barn. The population of the Australian Masked Owl on the mainland is now declining and several states have this owl on the Species Conservation Status list.
The wine is a late harvest blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
