More info

Based in Emilia-Romagna, Cevico is the second biggest Italian wine producer, representing 18 wineries and with over 6,700 hectares under vine. Cevico offer a myriad of small estates producing a bewildering array of wines, from both established and lesser-known appellations.

The Pignoletto grape variety derives its name from a wine called "Pino Lieto", originally mentioned by Pliny the Elder in his Naturalis Historia. Pignoletto is an ancient native vine common in Romagna and in the province of Bologna, cultivated mostly on the hills but also on the plains. It is used for the production of sparkling and still wines. The vine is hardy and adapts well to different climatic conditions.
