A perfect introduction to the splendour of Wachau wine, with a multifaceted aroma of stone fruit and spice. Lithe and energetic on the palate, this delivers pure, sophisticated drinking pleasure.
The Federspiel is a blend from several Wachau vineyards, including valley sites, hillsides and steep high terraces, with gniess, primary rock and loess soils. The vines are between twelve and forty years old, and were harvested by hand in October and November.
After a six-hour cold soak, the juice fermented at 18-22ºC in stainless steel tanks. It was then aged in tank for six months before bottling.
