Sacchetto Pinot Nero Trevenezie is a ripe, juicy unoaked Pinot from Italy's Veneto region. With fresh cherry and raspberry flavours, Sacchetto's is the best Pinot Noir we've tasted at this price. A light to medium bodied wine that pairs well with roasted white meats and pasta dishes.
Cantina Sacchetto was founded in 1920 and today is run by Filiberto Sacchetto, hisson Paolo and daughter Beatrice who oversee all aspects of the winemaking process and aim to produce the best possible examples of wines for which the region is famous. The winery is in Trebaseleghe, where the three provinces of Treviso, Padua and Venice converge.
The wine was formerly named 'delle Venezie IGT' but is now known as Trevenezie IGT after the region was region was transferred to the new appellation in 2017.
