An enticing fizz with vibrant aromas of exotic, tropical fruits, complemented by floral notes and citrus zest. A fine, persistent mousse leads to a mellow and full-bodied palate with a deliciously dry and refreshing finish.
Cantina Sacchetto was founded in 1920 and today is run by Filiberto Sacchetto, his son Paolo and daughter Beatrice who oversee all aspects of the winemaking process and aim to produce the best possible examples of wines for which the region is famous.
The grapes for this wine are grown in the province of Treviso, in Veneto, which is situated between the Gulf of Venice and the Alps. The Glera grapes are renowned for producing elegant sparkling wines.
This Spumante Extra Dry was made using the Charmat method. The grapes were carefully selected and gently pressed in a horizontal press. A slow fermentation took place with selected yeasts at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, to preserve the purity of the fruit. The secondary fermentation to produce the gentle sparkle took place in a pressure and temperature controlled autoclave. When the secondary fermentation was complete, the wine was carefully prepared for bottling.
