New product
Morello cherries combine with ripe black fruits, plum and a hint of violet. A minerality is present on the finish, alongside vanilla and toast. The wine is full bodied, with a robust and concentrated palate.
The grapes are selected from the best plots surrounding Escaladei. The vines are about 65 years old and are planted on the terraces of llicorella (slate) slopes, which are between 400 and 800 metres above sea level. All grapes are hand harvested and pass through two selection processes.
The Garnacha Tinta and Cariñena were fermented separately, in small cement tanks at a controlled temperature. They were macerated on their skins for about three weeks and then matured in large oak barrels for eighteen months.
