The wines focusses on fresh fruit and pure, refined flavours. Concentrated berries and ripe plums on the nose are accented with black pepper and herbs. Light, velveteen tannins meet a youthful acidity.
Grapes come from the Salanques, Parada, Maset, Era, and Pla Saqueta vineyards. There are clay-limestone soils in the high-altitude northern sites, as well as llicorella (slate) bedrock further to the south. All grapes are hand harvested and pass through two selection processes.
The wine was made in small open tanks. Grapes were grouped together by level of ripeness and fermented using natural yeasts. Maceration on skins occurred for between twelve and sixteen days. The wine spent a few months in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
