Vina Edmara Viognier shows the full gamut of full Viognier expression with apricots, pineapple, peaches and hints of citrus flowers on the nose, carried through to the palate with a soft texture, good body and a refreshing finish.
Vina Edmara Viognier comes from the Valle del Elqui where the cool air from the Andes and a rich diversity of soils and climates produce a superb purity of fruit.
The grapes were picked late March to ensure the ripeness and varietal flavours, crushed and immediately pressed. Free-run and low pressure were used for production in order to secure maximum fruit concentration and a good acidity balance which is a characteristic of this variety. Fermentation took place at 14-15C for 3 weeks. After fermentation, the wine was kept in contact with its lees for two weeks to increase complexity and gain softness.
