A dense wine, with notes of sour cherries, plum, roasted coffee and leather. Fleshy, with fine and rounded tannins that coat the palate and carry on through the long, savoury finish.

The grapes come from vineyards planted on red clay soils with large, rounded pebbles in the topsoil.
After de-stemming, the grapes underwent a twenty-day maceraction at 25-30°C, with frequent pumping over and punching down. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in vat and the wine was then matured in large oak barrels and vat for twelve to fifteen months.
