Forthcoming and complex aromas of dark berries such as mulberries and plums are complemented by notes of white peppery spice, chocolate and an earthy smokiness. A complex and well balanced palate with firm tannins and chocolate and sweet scented violet flavours, leads to a lingering finish.

Gerard Bertrand 'An 1877' Saint Chinian is a concentrated, oak aged blend of Syrah and Mourvedre, made from hand picked grapes. On the nose the wine gives a rich bouquet of forest fruits and garrigue, thyme, sage and rosemary. The palate is soft and round with soft tannins neatly framing the fruit. The finish is long and mineral fresh.
