Bright straw yellow in colour, this Greco has intense fruity aromas of ripe pears alongside honey and almond notes. Medium bodied, the palate is well-balanced with stone fruit flavours of yellow peaches, a crisp, mineral character, and good length on the finish.
The vineyards are situated near the towns of Tufo and Torrioni, in the heart of Greco di Tufo DOCG. Located at 450-550 metres above sea level, this area is subject to a cool breeze that blows off the Bay of Naples. This same breeze has, over the centuries, blown volcanic ash from Vesuvius inland to give the soil here a volcanic character. The climate is temperate with large temperature variations between night and day.
The grapes were carefully selected upon arrival at the winery. To preserve the natural aromatics, the must was immediately chilled and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at cool temperatures of 12-14°C. The wine remained in stainless-steel tanks until bottling, seeing no oak and avoiding malolactic fermentation to allow the pure fruit flavours to shine through.

Vesevo is situated in the Irpinian hills of Campania. Known as the ‘Switzerland of the South’, this is one of Italy’s most exciting wine-producing areas thanks to its distinctive microclimate. The terraced vineyards, planted between 450 and 700 metres above sea level, are subjected to a constant cool breeze that blows off the Bay of Naples. Over the centuries, this same breeze has blown volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvius inland, creating calcareous and basaltic soils rich in phosphorus and potassium.
