More info

This superb Provence rosé is made from a blend of old vines on clay and gravel soils, using techniques to ensure the highest quality by picking and destemming the grapes and using optical sorting technology to make sure each individual grape is the best. The juice is vinified in stainless steel to preserve the fresh fruits with bâtonnage of the yeast lees to make a fresh and round wine.

The appellation of Côtes de Provence covers a wide swathe of land from Aix east to Cannes. Provence has a warm Mediterranean climate with adequate rainfall and the cold Mistral wind provides cooling influence but the best sites are usually sheltered.

Château d'Esclans

Château d'Esclans, a magical property, is located in the heart of Côtes de Provence, 40km north of the coast above Saint Tropez (up in the rocky limestone hillsides of the valley of Esclans away from the sandy flatlands). Today, Château d'Esclans consists of 140 hectares of vineyards (producing estate vineyard and bottled rosés).

With his acquisition of the Château in 2006, Sacha Lichine’s vision was to create the greatest rosés in the world, igniting the “Rosé Renaissance”. Now in its sixteenth vintage, Château d'Esclans is home to Whispering Angel.
