Intense ruby red in colour with lovely purple hints, on the nose the wine is well defined with aromas of red berry fruit, cherry, redcurrant, strawberry, a touch of vibrant, tangy dark blueberry and lightly spiced. On the palate, it has a rounded tannin structure and great balance.
The grapes for this wine come from a careful selection in different vineyards along the coast of Tuscany. The vineyards are trained to the Guyot system on sandy and calcareous-clay soils.
The grapes were destemmed and crushed, then fermented in temperature controlled concrete tanks with their own indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation occurred spontaneously. The wine was aged in concrete tanks and large untoasted casks for few months.

Terre del Buontalenti connects small Tuscan grape growers under the expert guidance of winemaker and consultant Alberto Antonini. This alliance of “great talents” aims for a conscious return to tradition in the vineyard and the cellar. The resulting wines are pure, clean and recognisable for their freshness and quality.
The vineyards of Terre del Buontalenti are in Tuscany, planted on the limestone, schist, granite and sandstone soils characteristic of this mineral-rich region. The vines absorb these precious nutrients, and their characteristics are reflected in the wines’ personalities, giving them juiciness, vibrancy, vitality and great texture. Terre del Buontalenti’s core values are restoring tradition and safeguarding the ‘soil-plant-climate’ balance key to this project’s development. As a result, they embrace the traditional use of concrete tanks for fermentation and ageing in large, untoasted oak casks.
