Fresh and juicy up front with cherry notes and a hint of rosemary. This is followed by some mid-palate weight and notes of vanilla, fresh rhubarb and a suggestion of green tomatoes. The silky tannins are balanced by the well-defined acidity that persists through to the finish.
La La Land is an eclectic collection of new generation wines, adding a breath of fresh air to the sometimes stuffy world of wine. They value creativity, connectivity and always challenging 'traditional' wine conventions. These wines are flavoursome and generous, made with creative flair and a touch of funk.
The grapes were sourced from the Murray-Darling region of Victoria.
Thirty-five percent of the free run juice was drained off to be used for rosé and the remaining juice and skins were fermented in sweeping arm potter fermenters. Following frequent pumpovers during fermentation, the wine was racked and returned twice before draining and pressing in a bag press. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and micro oxygenation before being matured for three months on a small amount of high quality French oak staves.

The Calabria family source fruit from a range of growers across Australia's best wine regions, working closely with their suppliers for optimum quality and best expressions of regional varieties. In the Riverina, some grower relationships started back when Francesco Calabria founded the winery in 1945, and still exist with those same families today 75 years on. The Calabria winemaking team also look to growers in the Barossa Valley, and in the emerging wine regions such as Hilltops and Tumbarumba, to select high quality fruit that is synonymous with those regions.
In addition, the family portfolio contains a selection of fruit sourced from premium Australian wine growing regions, profoundly creating wines with outstanding varietal character and balance.
