Matias Riccitelli is the son of renowned winemaker Jorge Riccitelli (Bodegas Norton). His vineyards cover 20 hectares located in three selected sites within the premium growing region of Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza.
At an altitude of 1050 meters above sea level, the continental climate consists of cold winters and mild summers. It is warm during the day, and cool at night. Winter temperatures average between 6C and 21C in the summer. Average rainfall is 200mm.
Deleafing and green picking is performed in December. The grapes are harvested by hand in small trays of 20 kg in order not to damage the grapes. Meticulous sorting is performed by hand prior to vinification in order to select the best grapes.
The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, and finally clarified with fresh egg whites.
