Pulenta Estate I Malbec 2022
The nose explodes with red and black fruits, alongside appealing floral notes, followed by a lush, well-rounded palate with a fruit profile that blends freshness and intensity. The oak ageing has lent a spicy character and there is a complex mineral streak through the core.
The grapes come from both Finca La Zulema and Viñedos Don Antonio vineyards, with the former providing floral and red fruit characters whilst the latter brings structure and concentration. The grapes were harvested by hand.
Following a four-day cold maceration on the skins, fermentation took place in a mix of stainless steel, oak and concrete tanks at 25-28˚C. with regular closed and open pump-overs and a post fermentation maceration of at least 20-25 days. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation took place in French oak and the wine was then aged in second and third-fill French oak barrels for twelve months.

Pulenta Estate was founded in 2002 by brothers Hugo and Eduardo Pulenta, fourth-generation winemakers, with the goal of translating their family legacy and their father´s pioneering spirit into a modern, innovative winery focused on producing limited quantities of great wines. They have quickly carved out a reputation for precise, elegant wines across a range of varieties and premium price points. The estate consists of two vineyards located in key areas of Mendoza: Finca La Zulema in Agrelo and Viñedos Don Antonio in Los Arboles, a district of the Uco Valley. These contrasting vineyards have complex alluvial soils and distinct altitudes which, when blended, help give Pulenta wines their distinctive style, combining finesse, silky texture and elegance with the typical power and depth of fruit that is expected of Argentinian wines.
